Two forms reminiscent of birds or flying fish bookend this painting vertically, one large and lush with greens, the other sleekly carved of blue and hot pinks. Between the two figures, a cotton candy storm of Lobert’s entire neon episode palette combines into a fanciful typhoon of unmitigated elation. Euphoria bounces off the canvas almost as tangibly as the winged beings. The pulse of life thrums throughout this metaphorical marriage of sky and sea, resulting in the liberating sensation of buoyancy.
