In this piece, the solar plexus denoted by the yellow bed smooshed with red below, suffices our age-old tale of being grounded in the “I.” Who is the “I?” For Lobert, the “I” is only a matter of color and stroke, in any given moment. In this case, the “I” lays ground for a swatch of green, a girlie scratched cat claw of awe, a strata pf pink midpoint and an “ahhhhh” of blues and violets above. She’s hitting her tempo here and showing it wholeheartedly to the world. Whites always appear in random places to remind us that we are all in a perpetual cycle of rebirth and renewal, like Kandinsky.
