A tined pool of yellow flux sits central to the lower canvas as splashes of blue dance up from its surface. Red and green arch over above as if striving to connect, reminiscent of two arms in flight. For the first time, Lobert uses her palm and fingers to paint as if literally embodying the act of spanning hands, stretching toward a universal union across an abstract sky. The communion is fed by the creative spark below and cemented by the appearance of a rare pure drip, a drizzle of red at the top right-hand corner. The clean wiggle becomes almost a cherry on top, a sense of mission accomplished.
