In this final work painted before quarantine was lifted, Lobert debuts lavishly abstract circular strokes for the first time ever atop a glorious nest of purple and fuchsia. Solid brown commandeers a corner providing stability for the innocent experimentation of these exciting new forms. A breakthrough has occurred and the intricate details that pepper the top, both of drippings and improvisational brush marks, join in this joyous celebration of an endurance of spirit. The series has seemingly come full circle and the enthusiasm is prevalent alongside a relief of levity.
