True union occurs in this fifth abstraction of the United Arab Emirates flag. A cacophonous symbiosis appears between artist and place as the colors of a beloved land begin to swim and blend. The dark green bars morph into fields of pale mint; deep red shows its tender internal pinks; whites flash exterior grays; a full integration exposed. A true non-verbal relationship between interior landscape and the imprints of a cherished geography begin to take shape. Hearty daubs of gold leaf begin to become prominently placed vertically along the left, cementing the value and preciousness of this federation in Lobert’s perception.
