Frenetic flurries from thick wall paintbrushes form an abstract central figure rife with electrical tension, oddly reminiscent of a tortured mind or the throes of pent up expression. A sense of claustrophobia pervades, as the strokes strive to fly and dance, struggling to leap from the frame. Myriad emotions are evoked in the juxtaposition of colors from the more serene baby blue to the volatile red to the muddled moments when they marry in urgent melees. As quarantine solidifies into a more permanent state, the artist’s gorgeously applied frustration begins to emerge.
